HPOG Buffalo offers training in health care occupations that are in high demand in Western New York. The Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) has partnered with Erie 1 BOCES, Erie Community College and Erie 2 BOCES, and the Education Opportunity Center to provide training in the following areas:
- Certified Nursing Assistant/ Home Health Aide
- Medical Assistant
- Medical Secretary
- Pharmacy Technician
HPOG Buffalo also works with various local colleges to provide funding in the following degree programs:
- Physical Therapy Assistant
- Registered Nurse (RN and BSN)
- Surgical Technologist
- Medical Lab Technician
- Respiratory Therapist
- Physical Therapist
- Radiologic Technologist
HPOG Buffalo offers support throughout the program, and in some cases, as you begin your job. Support can include travel allowances, childcare and other types of assistance depending on the individual situation. Individuals enrolled in training are also assigned to a Case Manager who will work with you throughout your training program.
Funding will be provided to those who qualify. Eligibility is based, in part, on the Federal 200% of Poverty Income Guidelines.
